HO Train Collection For Sale

Hello! I currently have a selection of HO train items for sale from my late father's collection.

For lack of a better word, most of these items are "antiques" - 90% predate 1984, with a few dating back to the late 60's. Even though my father's collection has travelled all over the country with each and every one of our family moves, it was well cared for and carefully packed away. With only a FEW exceptions, this collection is basically in "LIKE NEW" condition.

Like my father and grandfather before me... trains are in my DNA! I have long cherished this collection and looked forward to the day when I could put my father's vision to plywood and create a running "Western Cow Town" with stockyards, lumber mills, and a little brothel out back. And while I would love nothing more than to pursue my father's dream, sadly, serious immediate family needs far outweigh his legacy. My older brother is currently two years into his battle with a rather nasty urinary tract cancer that's doing a number on his kidneys, bladder and ureter. He has been through countless immunotherapy and chemo treatments and the tough old bastard keeps fighting on. He has long exhausted all of the available rent and utility assistance programs and has been forced to go back to work part-time. His daughter has moved in with him to help cover costs, but they continue to struggle financially.

The collection contains more than 80 pieces including powered locomotives, rail cars, model kits, scenery screens and several books. I am asking $750 for the entire collection, but will happily negotiate. Sorry, I do not wish to piece it out and sell items individually. I am located in Eugene, Oregon, and I will provide in-person delivery on the I-5 corridor between Portland and Roseburg at no additional cost. Delivery/shipping quotes available upon request.
